Conditions are Great, Events are Happening, Jackson Hole is the Place to be!

After a busy Presidents Day weekend, with over 3 feet of new snow, the mountain is now empty and the conditions are perfect.  Our season snowfall total just reached 400 inches and the forecast is calling for more!

With non-stop flights from Los Angeles and Chicago for only $149 each way it makes it easy to get your powder fix.

Over the past few weeks there has been numerous events and activities going on here in Jackson Hole.  With being the first stop on the Freeskiing World Tour, Winter Fest, and the International Pedigree Stage Stop Sled Dog Race, there was never a dull moment. But don’t worry if you missed them because March is lined up with plenty of fun for everyone.

Over the next three weekends is the Grand Teton Music Festival Winter Series.  For the first time in Jackson Hole - the Metropolitan Opera’s Peabody and Emmy Award-winning series The Met, are featuring 12 live transmissions from our very own Walk Festival Hall.  Jackson’s activities include The Dick’s Ditch Classic Banked Slalom, Adaptive Awareness Day, Laps for Literacy, Local Slopestyle Comp, Marmot Combs Classic, The Pole Pedal Paddle Race, and my favorite, The Mountain Festival.  The weekends have lots of events for everybody, including skiing and snowboarding events, live music, and spring sunshine at the base of the Tetons.

Feel like taking a day off from the slopes, no problem, there are plenty of other things to do here in Jackson Hole.  Yellowstone National Park is only an hour away.  The Tetons and the Elk Refuge sit in Jackson Hole’s backyard and offer amazing views and tons of wildlife sightings.  If you have trouble deciding, the visitor center in town is always happy to provide more information.

President's Day Weekend in Breckenridge
Greetings from Breckenridge! As we put President’s Weekend behind us, we are happy to share that it was extremely busy. Operations went smooth in the shop and it was a great few days here for Ski Butlers.

Like many parts of Colorado this season, Breckenridge has been blessed with an incredible amount of snowfall and pristine ski conditions. To date, Breckenridge has received 338” of snowfall while our neighbor mountains Copper and Keystone have received 259” and 223” respectively. With a couple of months of winter still ahead, we hope to see the powder continue to pile up!

We have also had some fun activities going on in town over the last couple weeks. The International Snow Sculpting Championships finished the week of February 6th. Our local sculpting team that represented Summit County finished in 2nd place and also won the kids choice award! Right around the corner on March 8th is the Mardi Gras Parade, which Ski Butlers will be an active participant in. We also have the Spring Massive coming to town next month, which includes a wide array of activities that last almost the entire month of March. Activities include events for children, senior appreciation day, live music, various mountain competitions and of course the 14th annual Imperial Challenge.

As we approach the next 6-8 weeks, we look forward to staying busy while continuing to WOW our customers. As everyone at Ski Butlers knows, customer service is where we separate ourselves from competitors and our employees here are excited to continue working hard with customers to keep Ski Butlers above the competition.

Stay tuned for updates from Jackson Hole next week!
Snowfall in Vail Rivals the Record Books

On this sunny, spring-like day in February, temperatures are reaching the mid 30's on the slopes in Vail & Beaver Creek. Thanks to the regular rotation of Winter storms this season, powder is ample and never too hard to find in the 5,000+ acres that Vail has to offer.

In terms of snowfall, this is the fourth-best season to date in Vail since the mountain resort opened in the early 1960s. Paired with the notable hot-list of food, art, music & drink options in the valley, locals and visitors alike are enjoying the unfolding of an epic season both on and off the mountain.

February & March are exciting months in Vail. Lots of family-friendly events await you in the village. Live local music permeates the air at night, making entertainment easy to find. There is an active theater scene as well in the valley, the Vilar Performing Arts Center, Brush Creek Pavilion and other venues host a variety of shows. The Snow Ball Music Festival in early March is also sure to draw a crowd.

Vail Resorts introduced Epic Mix for lift-ticket holders this year. It uses RF transmitter technology to track where you have been on the mountain, which you can then see on your iPhone or the Epic Mix website -- awesome! Points are earned each time you hit the slopes, and you are encouraged to compete for bragging rights with your friends.

Spirits are high in the shop as we head into Presidents Day weekend. Employees are spending their free time exploring the terrain of Vail, finding hidden powder tracks in the trees, jumping cliffs, zipping down groomers -- fully taking advantage of what the mountain has to offer.

As we move ahead into the rest of the season, all of us at the Ski Butlers Vail shop look forward to exceeding the expectations of our renters as they enjoy the benefits of history-making snow conditions.

Sundance, World Championships and so much more...
One of the best things about Park City is that even for a relatively small ski town there is never a dull moment.  Whether it be the athletic tournaments and art or wine festivals during the summer months or the Sundance Film festival and multitude of winter sports events that come through in the winter.  There is sure to always be something exciting to check out and the month of January has been no different.

The Sundance film festival was busier than ever this year with a host of great films on tap for both locals and visitors viewing pleasure.  The crowded restaurants, bars and theaters mean great things for the town of Park City and ensure the economic stability of our little oasis.  Whether it was people in town for Sundance or just here to enjoy the mountains, Ski Butlers Park City has had a great month both with the amount of people we have been getting into skis and the enthusiasm around the office.  And now with the FIS Freestyle World Championships hot on the heels of Sundance, Park City continues to be the spot to be for the month of February.  Night after night, locals and spectators alike are being treated to concerts on Main St, fireworks and great entertainment on the hill.  Several Americans, including friend of Ski Butlers, Dave Digravio have already had great results during the World Champs and we are all hopeful we continue to see more.
The big talk within Ski Butlers Park City right now is our move to a new location after the season.  Ski Butlers has purchased the area that the Mexican restaurant Nacho Mamas currently occupies.  As much as we love the margaritas and burritos served up by Nacho Mamas we are very excited about our new digs.   With the move comes twice the square feet we currently operate out of and a "walk-in" space were customers will be able to come in, check out our inventory and be professionally fit for their equipment in a welcoming and comfortable environment.  We are confidant that with our new walk-in location, Ski Butlers is going to change the typical ski shop experience and hold good on our promise to have to "never wait in line again."  As the season draws closer to the end there are sure to be more exciting developments and design ideas for our new location.

The last couple of months are sure to be very busy at all our Ski Butlers locations and we are excited to offer all our customers, whether new or previous, an experience they will never forget.
