Is it Ski Season yet?!?!?

Hallo Bergbevölkerung!  As we put the weekend of Oktoberfest celebrations behind us in Breckenridge, we look to see what is next for ski towns in the Western US and Canada? After talking to people over the weekend while volunteering for Oktoberfest, the answer seems to constantly be the same when you talk to anyone in the Breckenridge community. Is it ski season yet?!?!? We received our first dustings last week on some tall peaks here in Summit County, Colorado.  The mountain temperatures have quickly dipped to the freezing point at night and remained relatively cool and crisp throughout the days while always providing us with some type of sunshine. Not quite blue bird days with several feet of fresh powder YET, but we are on our way!

At all of our Ski Butler locations, we are very excited to be welcoming in our new line of equipment for the 2011/2012 season! The gear has already arrived or is arriving this week in most locations, also serving as a reminder that ski season is right around the corner. Following Ski Butlers offseason partnership with the Rossignol Group, all Ski Butler locations are especially happy to be receiving our new equipment provided exclusively by Rossignol.

The Ski Butlers Team had a very productive annual franchise meeting this past week in Whistler, British Columbia. All Team Members had a chance to collaborate on the very busy offseason we have had and to look forward to the ski season ahead! During the 5 day stay in Whistler, Ski Butler Team Members demonstrated how we actively use our core values in every decision and interaction we encounter. It was a truly amazing time that served as a culture bonding experience for the best ski rental delivery team out there! Not only can we not wait to see you on the slopes, but we’re equally anxious to share our legendary customer service with you!

Return of La Nina

Jackson Hole just keeps getting better! Last winter accumulated 723 inches of snowfall, 475 of those inches were during the ski season. Looking to next season, meteorologists predict a return of La Nina! Statistically, winters during which the ‘la Nina’ phenomenon provide 52% more snow than non-la Nina years at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.  We should expect another year with ample powder days.

All new this season, the Marmot double chair lift! This lift will carry skiers and snowboarders 1200 vertical feet from the South Pass Traverse, below the Thunder Lift, to the top of the Gondola, helping to move along the morning madness. Beginning a day at the top of the Gondola Summit will provide guests with the opportunity to get ready for the day by grabbing something to eat at the Dog House Café or enjoying a relaxing morning and sitting back at the award winning Couloir Restaurant.

Off the mountain, lodging has been expanding there ranges from not only luxury but also convenient and affordable ski in-ski out properties. Jackson Hole Resort Lodging has developed it all. The Luxury Collection has full access to the 5 star clubhouse and spa. The Lift, Lodging and Lunch, continues to be one a terrific values, providing everything you need for a day for $99.

With tons of snow in the forecast, new lifts, and great lodging, what else can you ask for from Jackson Hole? We can’t wait to see you on the slopes!

Winter is approaching - and we are anxious to rent skis!
The resorts are putting out their teaser video's, the Ski Movie Magnates are putting out there new films, the High Rockies are beginning to get snow, all signs are pointing to winter!  And Ski Butlers is ready!  It's hard not to begin dreaming of fresh tracks and bluebird days while all of this is going on and our new equipment is starting to arrive at the shop.  It's like Christmas in September, and it's awesome!  A lot has gone on this summer at Ski Butlers, we have worked tirelessly on perfecting our customer interactions - our focus: "WOWing" the customer.  Our main goal is ensuring that the experience of our guests is something they will actually talk about when they get home.

Telluride is anticipating a great year, you can't beat the scenery there for one, but the snow is supposed to be in Telluride this year - that mountain is amazing with a ton of snow.  If you've never been, Telluride is probably one of the last few Colorado resorts that still looks like it did in the days of Butch Cassidy.  You just expect leather clad cowboys to come roaring down Main Street, six shooters blasting at any moment.  It's an incredible place for vacation.

The Ski Butlers team is currently in different Airports across the west headed to our Whistler location for our annual Franchise meetings.  We've got owners and GM's headed up there to come together, chat Ski Butlers and get to know one another to further build the culture that helps bring Legendary Customer Service to our guests.  We can't wait for the season - we'll see you out on the slopes!
