Ullr Brings the SNOW!!!

So I was waiting to start my snow update once the snow finally stopped, but as of 9:01 PM Mountain Time, Friday, January 12th the snow has not stopped!!! Late Thursday night, around midnight it started snowing in Breckenridge. At 5:00 AM the Breckenridge snow stake showed 5 inches of new snow (the resort clears the snow stake at 5:00 AM). Since then Breckenridge has received over 15 inches of new snow!

That is 20 inches of snow in less than 24 hours here in Breckenridge, and that comes right after the start of Ullr Fest. Coincidence? I don’t think so. What’s Ullr Fest? Ullr Fest is a celebration here in Breckenridge for everyone who loves snow. This marks the 55th year that Breckenridge has been celebrating Ullr, the Norse god of snow and I can’t think of a better way to kick it off than with 20 inches of snow!

We here at Ski Butlers LOVE it when it snows, but I am going to be honest with you. It can be a nightmare trying to drive around Main St. in Breckenridge when it snows. Can you imagine trying to load up your family and friends into your car only to sit in traffic and struggle to find parking at the rental shop? AND then wait in line only to have to fill out a bunch of paperwork? Well, you don’t have too.

This is the time of year to spend more time on the mountain and not driving, parking and waiting in rental lines. Let Ski Butlers come to you and get you set up with everything you need to hit the slopes. Not only will we fit you with your skis, boots, poles, and snowboards. We offer helmets, boot warmers/dryers, goggles and Smartwool socks and facemasks!

So throw on your Ullr Viking hat, do your snow dance, and spend more time on the slopes and less time in the rental shop.
