What We Do To Get Ready For The Season

As the season starts to wind up so does our team here at Ski Butlers. General Managers and Team Leaders have come on to begin orientations in preparation for the winter season. A lot goes into making sure that we are the best ski rental delivery service in the business and it starts from the top, down. 

We want to make sure you are having the best experience possible on your ski vacation and for us that means making sure you have the best equipment and customer service the industry has to offer. Here’s a little insight into what we’ve been doing in preparation for the upcoming season. 

New App

Last year we went entirely paperless with our deliveries by having orders filled out entirely on Ipads. This year will be no different but we’ve been working with a developer to create an app to make the entire process from packing to delivery as seamless as possible.

Unpacking New Equipment 

Probably everyone’s favorite part of early season, unpacking all our new equipment. This year we’ve replaced 80% of our inventory across all of our locations with the newest models that Rossignol has to offer. We’ll still have everyone’s favorites like the Black Ops Sender and Escaper but we’ve also added a few new models to our inventory including Rossignol’s new Experience 82’s and 86’s, along with their woman’s exclusive Black Ops ski, the Stargazer. 

Tuning Standards

All of our skis across all of our United States locations have been sent back to their homes after getting a turn through our Montana Tuning Machine. This means that skis that were used last year are going to look like new with freshly grind bases and machine sharpened edges.

Tuning has always been one of our biggest emphasizes and this year is no different. We train all of our team members on what our standards for tuning are so you’ll be getting the same gear in the same great condition across all of our shops.

Shop Set Up

With most of our gear either going into storage or being brought back to Park City, our General Managers and Team Leaders have to begin the process each year of setting their shops back up for the season.

Binding Test

At the end and beginning of every season we go through our entire inventory of skis and do binding testing. This process ensures that the bindings are still up to safety standards so we never give a customer faulty equipment.

Pray For Snow 

Early season set up is always a good time for our team but everyone here knows that it’s once the season actually starts is when it really all comes together. With resorts opening days completely dependent on when the snow starts falling our team can do only one thing, pray for snow.
