Wow, what has been happening in Mammoth?! It doesn’t seem like a week has passed when Mammoth hasn’t gotten a once-in-a-season storm that has blanketed the town and resort in foot after foot of fresh powder. I was talking to our North Tahoe General Manager the other day and he was telling me that the snow has almost covered his entire second-story window.
The craziest part is that it doesn’t seem close to being over. With snow storms continuing to hit the area throughout the weekend, they could easily surpass 700 inches in just a few days. To give you some context, there hasn’t been a winter quite like this for Mammoth since 1970.
To give you some perspective of what all this snow looks like, check out what the backside of Mammoth currently looks like below.
Kudos to the team over at Mammoth for digging out these chairlifts and lodges week after week.
