Meet the Managers at Ski Butlers Park City

Ski Butlers prides itself in putting together a team of the most capable managers year after year. Have you ever wondered who’s behind the scenes? We sat down and asked our Park City Management team a few questions to help you get to know them. Introducing Ski Butlers Park City Management Team for the 201617 Season!

Zach Sorensen – General Manager

Entering his second season with Butlers, Zach was promoted to GM after a strong showing of responsibility and competence. Born and raised in Layton, UT, Zach grew up riding Powder Mountain and Snowbasin. Zach is Park City’s fearless leader and has assembled this year’s team of incredible ski techs. When asked what his favorite thing about Ski Butlers was he responds with, The culture. There is nothing better than working with a bunch of like minded

Individuals.”

Andrew Merino – Sales Manager

Joining the team for his third season, Andrew hails from Lake Geneva, WI. Andrew is Park City’s sales guru. Chances are if you’re involved in hospitality or partner with local ski rental you’ve run into him. Always found with a smile and a business card Andrew helps garner more business for the company. Andrew’s favorite thing about the company is also its culture and people. The

company culture is what drew me to Ski Butlers initially, and the amazing people I get to work with is what has kept me here over the years.” Andrew states, Our culture is based around people pursuing their passion in the mountains.”

Chris Wavle – Operations Manager (Waldorf Astoria)

Second season veteran Chris Wavle joins the team this year as the Manager of the newly partnered Waldorf Astoria service center. He and the rest of the team have been busy setting up shop to ensure that Ski Butlers will be the best decision the Waldorf ever made. Chris is an avid skier hailing from New Jersey and is ready to make this season the best yet. I am excited for

our team members to come on board and learn what it means to embody the ten Core Values that lie at the heart of everything we do here at Ski Butlers. Our culture is one of delivering legendary service, and I could not be more stoked to share that with as many people as I possibly can!”

Chris Melhado – Operations Manager (PC Shop)

Starting his third year with Ski Butlers, Melhado is one of the few Gulf Coast natives on the team this year. Louisiana born and bred we asked just what he thinks of our little snowhaven. Ski Butlers has been a Mecca of opportunity for me. Showing up and having no one here, Ski Butlers really gave me a home, a family, and a door to succeed. They truly reward and recognize hard work, and the team you’d work with here is second to none.” Chris can be found around the shop making sure team members feel confident in what they’re doing, and shamelessly promoting his band Lost in Bourbon at the same time.

We also asked our Managers what advice they would give to someone looking to work for Ski Butlers.

Zach – Ski Butler’s is a company that expects and recognizes hard work. Things like the Bench program offer employees the opportunity to work on projects in things like Operations, Sales and Management.”

Andrew – I would tell them how rewarding the job is and how fun it is to be part of such a great team. Not to mention, they can ski every single day!”

Wavle – If you want a job that allows you to ski 100+ days a year while working full-time, this is the place for you. Working here is awesome because our purpose as a company, both for our employees and our guests, is to help people pursue their passion in the mountains”

Melhado – Do it. I moved across the country and found a craigslist ad and look at me now! This company is one with a great vision and will take you with it to the top. Not to mention you’ll get to work with some of the greatest people you’ll ever meet. Did I mention you can snowboard everyday!?
