Ski Butlers Blog

Thanks for a Great Season!

Wow, what a winter it has been here at Ski Butlers.  It’s hard to believe that most ski resorts have already closed for the season and the locals have begun to make transition to the golf courses and bike trails. Where does the time go?

Ski Butlers Raises $1,600 for Protect Our Winters

Ski Butlers likes to give back to the communities that have given us so much. Part of the way to do this is through our Round-Up Program. Our round-up program raises money for local non-profits in the winter sports industry. Customers can "round-up" their bill to the nearest dollar or donate a flat amount of $5, $10, or $20.

Aspen Highlands Closing Party

This year’s Highlands Closing Party was my first experience. I have heard ridiculous stories from previous years, so I was eager to see what the fuss was all about. On Sunday April 13, the day of the party, the town of Aspen woke up to Rain. After talking to some friends and discussing the possibility of skipping the party due to the unfortunate weather, I was quickly assured there was no way I missing the event. Needless to say, I was glad I didn’t.

Whistler is showing the signs of Spring but we are still getting a subtantial amount of snow in the Alpine. We have had 34" this week, with some surpirse sunny Pow Days.

Along with the great skiing we have a week of Social events coming up with the World Ski Snowboard Fest ( starting April 11-20. This is the biggest annual gathering of winter sports, music, arts and mountain culture in North America. The Motto is "Party in April and Sleep in May". The highlight of these events is the Pro Photographer Showdown where action sports and lifestyle photographers from around the world submit entries for an oppurtunity to earn a trip to Whistler and showcase their work to an audience of sports enthusiasts, media and industry professionals.Entries will be judged as each Photographer competes for over $10,000 in prizes.

Another great spring event is the Whistler Cup. Moving into its 22nd year, Whistler Cup has grown to become the largest and most important ski race in North America, and internationally, for athletes aged 11 to 14 years.
